Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri,hereinafter referred to as “IILS” Is the First Law School in North Bengal established in 2010 affiliated to the University of North Bengal and recognized by the Bar Council of India with a view to raising the Standard of Legal education, leadings Lawyer, Judges and academicians have been associating with the Law School from the very beginning and in the way, the IILS represents the unique partnership between the Bar, Bench and Academia. Our Director, Prof.Prabhat Kumar Chakraborty is an LL.M from London, United Kingdom and served as the Principal of a constituent College of Law University of North Bengal for a considerable period. Properly ventilated spacious class rooms have been provided to accommodate 60students in one such classroom as prescribed by the Bar Council of India. Each Classroom shall have electronic Boards to assist the faculty while delivering lectures and the students would also be benefited with this latest bit of technology and public address system.
